About Us
We're a small, family-run team passionate about helping dogs and their owners thrive. Our team is made up of myself, my husband, and our dog Gus. I handle all the hands-on training and care, while my husband manages the business side and often helps during training with real-world distractions. Gus is an important part of the team too, as he is a testament to my training, while he also helps with introductions and serves as a role model for good behavior for all the dogs.
Madison Plack: Owner/Head Trainer
Hi, I’m Madison Plack, owner and trainer here at K9 Companion. My journey into dog training didn’t start with a house full of dogs, but with one dog during COVID who changed everything.
What began as training my own dog quickly grew into helping friends and family with theirs, and I discovered a passion for teaching dogs and their owners how to communicate better. In 2023, I took my first professional role with a local dog training company, where I spent over two years refining my skills by going to seminars and shadowing well renowned trainers before branching out on my own.
Now, I focus on training at a smaller scale with a big emphasis on connection. My mission is to help owners build a strong bond with their dogs for a smoother, more enjoyable life together.
Trenton Plack: Co-Owner/Lead Sales
Hi, I'm Trenton, co-owner of K9 companion. I grew up in a house full of rambunctious untrained dogs, but never really had an interest in training them-until I met my wife, Madison and we got our first dog together. While I didn't share the same passion for hand-on training dogs as Madison, I quickly found my niche in the business side of things. Today I handle sales, administration, and operations helping keep the company running smoothly so Madison can focus on what she does best: training dogs.
